Instructions. Place the blueberries, sugar and 1 cup water in a blender. Blend on medium-high speed for about 1 minute, until the blueberries are completely pureed. Strain the blueberry puree through a fine mesh sieve (or skip this step if you don’t mind small pieces of blueberry in your lemonade).
Make the simple syrup. Combine the sugar and 1 cup of the water in a small saucepan and bring to a gentle simmer over low heat to dissolve sugar. Once the sugar is completely dissolved, remove from heat to cool. Squeeze the lemons. Roll each lemon over your cutting board, pressing down as you do.
Place the sugar and 1/2 cup of the water in a small pot and cook, stirring, over medium-low heat until the sugar is completely dissolved (about 3 to 5 minutes). Remove the pot from the heat and add in the lemon peel. Juice the lemons over a fine mesh strainer, discarding the seeds, and add to a large pitcher.

Lemonade: Fresh is best (I’ll walk you through how to make homemade lemonade), but you can absolutely substitute store-bought lemonade from the bottle or carton. Or start with 12 ounces of frozen lemonade concentrate made according to package instructions. Step by step instructions. Fill 2 glasses with ice. Pour 6 ounces lemonade into each glass.
