As for xb1/xbsx issue about joining there shouldnt be any, as im ps4 and i can play with ps5 friends, what you could do, is go into your Connection settings on your xbox's and change your primary DNS to 8.8.8.8 and secondary DNS to 8.8.4.4, if that doesn't fix your problem, then idk.
