You dont need to lay your eyes on the whole circuit. But most important is get a whole vehicle fail code reading and report back what codes are in it. I have never seen a Land Rover with no codes at all in it. So I suspect someone is ignoring a fault that could be the culprit. These kind of jobs can be a nightmare and a lot of guys would avoid it.
The fuel system monitor should be one of the emissions monitors that should immediately gets ready the minute the car starts, which it this case, it's not. Fault code U0401-64 which indicates that the TCM isn't getting any data from the ECU. In his experience he would find it strange that the ECU would be something which would need replacement
The persistent ones are. - P0915 Gear Shift Position Circuit Range/Performance (I'm thinking this one is at the heart of my problems) - U0416 Invalid data received from vehicle dynamics (this fault is on multiple control units) - U0403 Invalid data received from transfer case. - U0421 Invalid data received from Ride level control. Seconded on the diagnostics.. TD5 is not OBD compliant for your diagnostic port so you need to spend the money on Nanocom, Hawkeye or lynx to read faults and correct them. 2 visits to a main-stealer will cost the same I expect so get your own. Then you’ll most likely have your codes and then your reason for the problems. SJYA.
