My local Audi dealer quotes £495 for the cambelt or £649 for cambelt and water pump on their fixed price schedule. I also have a cambelt quote at a lower price (£295) from a local independent.

Craig August 3, 2021. The 2008 A4 is driven by a timing belt but the DOHCams are each driven by a separate chain. The replacement interval for the belt , water pump and pulleys is 120,000 kilometres or 6 years , whichever comes first. You should also replace the cam follower in the high pressure fuel pump every 100,000 kilometres.
